Dress Rehearsal is a key component of a successful performance. Participation is essential. Technical elements are practiced resulting in a professional and successful performance for all.  Dress Rehearsal at GAC is closed to the public.

Benefits of a Dress Rehearsal

Rehearsals are the best antidote for performance "butterflies" as they help instill confidence in the dancer’s performance.
  • Dancers become more comfortable on the large stage and become familiar with dancing under the theatre's stage lighting.
  • Dancers can practice entrances, exits, bows  & quick costume changes to ease worries during the performance.
  • The rehearsal fosters the spirit of teamwork and commitment.
  • The rehearsal gives the crew time to practice all lighting & sound cues, set changes to insure a smooth running performance!

Be sure to share the Latecomer & Backstage Policies below with family & friends. Thanks!

Latecomer Policy

GAC requests all latecomers (and patrons who leave the theatre during an act) to sit or stand in the back of the theatre until there is a pause in the program. Please be cooperative with the ushers who will seat you ASAP.

GAC Ushers will not seat patrons while a dance is in progress. This reduces the chance of latecomers blocking the view of seated patrons, and eliminates unnecessary distractions to the performer on stage.

Backstage Policy

For the privacy and safety of our students, the dressing rooms and backstage areas are kept private. One Access Pass Holder is permitted to drop off and pick up the dancer from the Main Dressing Room.

Guests who wish to greet or present flowers to a dancer may do so in the GAC Lobby or exterior after the conclusion of the performance.
